What To Pack For Your Trip

— What this tool does

A Packing List Built From Your Destination, Your Dates and Your Bag

Most packing lists are generic. This one is not: tell the generator where and when you are going and it builds a categorized checklist around the real weather for that city in that month, the gear your activities need, and the airline you are flying with.

Behind every list is the same dataset that powers our 51 destination packing guides — monthly average highs, lows and rainfall for each city, plus the local notes that change what actually goes in your bag. Check items off as you pack, add your own, then export the finished list to PDF or save it for the return trip.

Packing List Generator FAQ

Is the packing list generator free?

Yes. The generator, the printable checklists and every packing guide on the site are free to use, and you do not need an account to build or export a list.

How does the generator decide what to pack?

You pick a destination, your travel dates, your trip type and who you are travelling with. The list is then built from real monthly climate data for that city, the gear your activities need, and the extras for your traveller type — so a June trip to Lisbon and a January trip to Oslo never return the same checklist.

Can I save, print or export my packing list?

Yes. Finished lists are saved in your browser so you can come back to them, and you can export a list as a PDF, print it, or download a shareable image.

Does it work for trips outside the covered cities?

The destination guides cover 51 European cities month by month. For anywhere else, start from a trip template such as beach, ski, city break or business trip and adjust the items to your destination.
